About The Blue & Grain

Grain Valley lost its local paper in 2025, and most of what's happening in both towns is scattered across city calendars, school sites, library pages and a dozen Facebook groups. The Blue & Grain puts the useful parts in one short email every Thursday.

How it's made

We use AI tools to gather listings from public sources (city and school calendars, the library, parks and local businesses) and to draft each issue. I'm Cody Rochester, the editor. I review every issue before it goes out, and every item links to its original source. If something's wrong, email hello@blueandgrain.com and I'll fix it.

What we don't do

No politics, no crime rewrites, no copying other people's reporting. Sponsored items are always labeled "Sponsored."
